Kadooria is a luxury residential development situated in Kadoorie Hill; a rare green oasis in the heart of Kowloon. The apartment is on the ground floor and opens onto a large outdoor terrace. The client wanted to create a unique design that relates to the sense of the place in Kadoorie Hill.

The design draws inspiration to the British heritage roots of the area, with its colonial architecture and garden setting, as well as the British sense of design expressed in a contemporary manner. Inside the apartment, the main living spaces are defined with vaulted ceilings and wall paneling which draws inspiration from traditional design. The living spaces are filled with contemporary furniture that have classic inspired lines. The use of luxury materials such as velvet, wood and leather are used throughout as soft a contrast to the grey marble floor. The two secondary bedrooms are bespoke designed to reflect youthful feminine and masculine characteristics. The study room features a unique display cum storage cabinet as a focus. The pallet of materials are a combination of British green, oak and walnut, silvery velvet and brass trims that results in a fusion of the contemporary expression and traditional heritage.
